Starbucks GP

Series Race #3
October 4, 2009
Lake Sammamish State Park
Issaquah, WA

Low Pressure Promotions, LLC has teamed up with the Seattle-based Starbucks Cycling Team to host the 2009 Starbucks Gran Prix of Cyclocross. Unique to the Starbucks Gran Prix is the partnership with Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA), based in Seattle, WA. Seattle Cancer Care Alliance unites the doctors from Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, UW Medicine, and Seattle Children’s to form a world-class treatment center that provides advanced therapies and clinical studies for cancers and other blood disorders.

As part of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, proceeds from the event will go towards treatment and care for breast cancer patients of SCCA. Throughout the event at Lake Sammamish, there will be cancer awareness themes, literature, course-specific highlights, and even a category of racing for cancer survivors.
