MFG Nine2Five

Roslyn, WAEveryone has been asking the question, and now we have your answer. Low Pressure Promotions, the producers of MFG Cyclocross, are proud to bring you the inaugural MFG Nine2Five: an all-day mountain bike situation. The 7-mile course will provide plenty of up, down, and around the sunny hills of Roslyn. Whether beginning preparations for cyclocross, or tuning up for the finale of mountain bike season, there is a solo, 2-person, or 3-person category for nearly every rider.

Sign-up at Preregistration only closing 8:00 pm on Monday July 21st. 250 rider limit all categories combined.

Important Note to Teams: All team members will be registered at the same time on Be sure the individual registering the team uses a unique team name and has the following information on team members:

Racing Ages are based on riders age on 12/31/14. Team ages are based on the total age of the team members.

  • Commemorative Trucker Hats for all winners (teams & solo riders) so you can let the world know you were a winner at the inaugural Nine2Five.
  • More Laps Than Hours Award – All teams and solo riders that ride more laps than hours (9 laps) will receive a t-shirt acknowledging this feat of speed and endurance.

Rules and Equipment:
Races will be governed by USA Cycling rules for mountain bike racing, rider conduct, and equipment regulations. It is the rider’s responsibility to know these rules. All rules and regulations will be enforced by Low Pressure Promotions, LLC staff. Helmets are required by rules in the USA Cycling rulebook. This event is non-sanctioned.

Scoring & Rider Transition

  1. Numbers plates will be issued to each rider.
  2. Each team will be issued a timing chip that will be passed from rider to rider as a baton in the Rider Transition Zone. This chip must travel on course the entire race with the rider racing on course.
  3. Riders on 2-person and 3-person teams will need to sign in on the team’s Lap Sheet in the Rider Check-In Area before entering the Rider Transition Zone. Riders completing a lap and going on rest will have to sign-out on the team’s Lap Sheet in the Rider Check-In Area as they leaving the Rider Transition Zone.
  4. At the end of each lap riders will be required to dismount in the Rider Transition Zone, scan their team’s chip at the reader at the Finish Line and pass the chip to their next team member or carry-on for their next lap. Riders can mount bikes after leaving the Rider Transition Zone. The “team timing chip” will be read at the finish line that is within the Rider Transition Zone.
  5. No team will be allow onto the course for a final lap after 4:59:59 PM.
  6. Riders/teams who approach the finish line just before 4:59:59 that do not want to go out for a final lap will be held short of the finish line in a waiting area so they can scan their chip the final time after 5:00 pm.

Drive Directions and Staging:
From I-90 East Exit 80 for Roslyn. Turn left onto Bullfrog Rd. At the first traffic circle, continue straight to stay on Bullfrog Rd. At the second traffic circle, take the 2nd exit onto WA-903 N. Turn right onto Martin Rd. Parking and Team Tent staging is at Roslyn Rider, 70 Martin Road. Please park as directed by event staff.

BMC will have a fleet of demo mountain bikes on site for test ride. Take a lap of the course on any of their fabulous bikes from from the race ready Teamelite and Fourstroke to the enduro taming Trailfox.
