MFG Cyclocross announces 2015 dates; StarCrossed goes on hiatus

Seattle, WA – July 23rd, 2015 – MFG Cyclocross announced the details to their 2015 race schedule today. The six-race cyclocross series is presented by Raleigh Bicycles and celebrates its seventh year, and begins on September 13th and will conclude on November 22nd at the 7th Annual Woodland Park Gran Prix. Additionally, MFG will produce the Subaru Cyclo Cup, which features two days of UCI cyclocross racing on November 14th and 15th at Ft. Steilacoom Park in Lakewood, WA. Subaru Cyclo Cup is not part of the MFG Cyclocross series. StarCrossed, the traditional night cyclocross race produced by MFG Cyclocross, will take a hiatus in 2015.

“We are pleased to have all of our venues confirmed as we head into cyclocross season,” said MFG Cyclocross co-founder Terry Buchanan. “Our series continues with six races, and we are very psyched to also be producing a UCI race weekend in November in conjunction with Subaru.

Since MFG Cyclocross formed in 2009, Raleigh Bicycles has provided title sponsorship for the race series each year, and comes back for a seventh season as title sponsor.

“StarCrossed will take a hiatus for 2015, but we look forward to brining two days of professional UCI racing in November” said MFG Cyclocross co-founder Zac Daab. “The Subaru Cyclo Cup will be the only UCI races in the country that weekend, and comes just before the UCI race weekend in Los Angeles, so we expect the turnout to be fantastic.”

MFG Cyclocross will continue to feature racing for Beginner Men and Beginner Women, Clydesdale category for riders over 200 pounds, an all-women’s race start time at 1:50 pm on race day, an equal cash purse for Elite Men and Women provided by Element Cycles, and each start time receiving The Treatment over the course of the season. The Treatment includes podium presentations and merchandise for 1st through 3rd place.
