Thanks to nearly 500 of you who came out for MFG #1. We hope everyone had a great time, in the great weather, at a great venue so close to the city. Rich put on a fantastic course, and Ken held it DOWN…..at registration.
Our fine friends at uBRDO were absolutely amazing in their support. Scotty, Mercedes, James, Cole and crew were there from start to finish and showed some SERIOUS love for MFG.
A whole lot of folks are asking about results. Please grant us a days worth of patience while we sort out the results. By tomorrow afternoon, we should have a much cleaner results list here on MFG. If you have any results questions or comments, please comment here on this blog post, and your feedback will be heard.
We promise that race #2 results will be much faster and more accurate next Sunday at Rad Racing. In the meantime, please check out the photos popping up already:

I’ve spectated at ‘cross events – until now. First ‘cross race for me – had a blast. 10 year old son had a good race also. Thanks for a great event.
We’ll be back for sure. Oh yeah….
I am commenting as instructed in the blog post. I was bib #202 in Masters Men 35+. At the race, I was not showing up on the results at all. Not sure if I missed completely, or was showing up as a different number. In case there was a problem reading my number, I was wearing a Garmin/Slipstream jersey. Thanks for a great race – see you next week.
great first race of the season! the course, the crowds, the music…all good. as a sponsor, we had a blast getting the hydration flowing (we’ll have more flavours and cups at future races!)
on the racing side of things, we need to clarify our folks who were out there whose names weren’t showing on the results (but bib #’s did): women’s cat 4, bib #11, name: trista smith. juniors 12-13, bib #12, name: truman langley. single speed, bib #14, name: tyler smith.
til next time!
Nice job MFG and uBRDO. Almost 500 racers for a summer cross race bodes well for the successful future of the series. Charge!
Thanks for a great race. I know how hard it is to put on a race and you guys did a great job for the first race of a new series. As for the results, I have a question about the Cat 3 mens results. I was wearing #411 and was racing for Recycled Cycles. I finished with 3 other guys, Counter Balance #327, and an Amgen rider #377 we came in together and were sprinting for 8th-10th. I don’t show up in the results at all. Thanks for checking into this, I really want that front row call up (I need all the help I can get).
Great job guys – had a blast. Looking forward to the next one!
this was so much fun. thank you all!
I had one comment about the W4 results. I was leading the race for the first 2 laps until I was passed by Marsa who I never repassed. No other women passed me and Marsa won the W4 race but Marsa and I are listed as 2nd and 3rd instead of 1st and 2nd.
Thanks for putting on a great race. The course was fast and fun. Only complaint would be to keep the finish clear until all the riders on the course are finished. As someone in the bottom third I still think I should not have to weave between walkers, baby strollers, and racers warming up while trying to finish. The course was opened after the only five finishers in the Masters 4 according to my friends at the finish. Looking forward to your future events.
that was a fun course. thanks again rich!
Oh hey, Men’s 3′s: I’m #10! I placed 36th I think.
Dan Doran….First Rate Mortgage….season pass holder…
Waiver in there somewhere.
And I promise to stop swearing when I fall sorry. Unless I break something, in which case all bets are off.
Thanks for a great day – great course, great organization, smooth. Really appreciate how much time you all put into making it happen.
cheers,
ld
Super fun race guys…thank you. Such a crazy, huge scene compared to the the local races I do up here in B.C.
Comment re: CAT 3 WOMEN…. I’m #280 (Karen Todd), wearing a Different Bikes jersey and am pretty sure that I placed first. My name didn’t even show up in your preliminary results you posted at the race site. I was leading the race, passed by a Hagens Berman girl who ended up flatting and then I was able to maintain the lead until the end (although I had some strong girls comin’ up real fast on me!!!)
Can you please check into this? Thanks again. See you at Rad Racing.
Fun Race Thanks,
I should be a 51st in the 11:20 race. I was #125 and I was chasing #27 the final laps, and I was in front of Jadine #262.
Had a ton of fun racing. Thanks for all the hard work. I know there are some kinks to work out in your results process, and I’m sure you will figure it out. If it’s not in the plan already, can you post finish times in the results? Without a race number scheme for the different categories, it’s hard to know who’s in your race, so posting finish times will let riders know if they are coming in with people in their same category or not.
Thanks
